The Importance of Building Trust

As the Prime Minister Boris Johnson announces plans to "build, build, build" to boost Britain's infrastructure and fuel economic recovery across the UK, Bristan Specification Sales Director, Craig Rendall reflects on the challenge.

“The new housing measures present great opportunity for the housebuilder market with a £12 billion affordable homes program supporting up to 180,000 new affordable homes for ownership and rent over the next eight years.

“Under the measures, the government has said the Home Builders Fund will receive an additional £450 million to help smaller developers deliver around 7,200 new homes.

“The government has also announced that funds from the £400 million Brownfield Land Fund had been allocated to certain areas to “support around 24,000 homes”. The West Midlands, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, Liverpool City Region, Sheffield City Region, and North of Tyne and Tees Valley will benefit from the fund.

“All of which is exciting news for the house building sector, if we work together we can deliver.  As the industry bounces back it’s easy to get focused on completions but it’s important to remember that’s not the end of the customer journey.  Homeowner satisfaction is key for brand reputation and a job gone wrong can be extremely costly to rectify after the fact.

“For over 40 years, we've been helping house building professionals meet the dreams and aspirations of their buyers with exactly the right choice of taps and showers.  Whether it’s for social housing, five bedroom executive homes or chic, city centre apartments, the Bristan Group is dedicated to creating brilliant solutions for your next project.”

“As Local Authority and Housing Association budgets become increasingly stretched, finding new ways to increase value without compromising on quality in public sector specifications becomes more and more important.

“That’s one of the reasons we’re constantly investing in better product designs to improve quality and usability while satisfying the demands of Local Authorities and regulators.

“For instance, some of our shower and bath fill mixer taps are thermostatically controlled to ensure water temperatures never exceed 44oC. A crucial part of satisfying Part G of the building regulations and protecting tenants from the risk of scalding.

“At the same time, robust design and hardwearing chrome finishes resist wear and tear, reducing the need for frequent repairs or replacement in your homes.

“Bristan Group products are fully compliant to UK Water Regulations, which guarantees  specifications fall in line with regulations and byelaws covering water supply and fittings.”
