Business Development Manager

Position: Full time, Remote | Field-based within region (Oxfordshire/Beds/Berks/Buck)
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales function and take ownership of a defined regional territory.
This role offers the opportunity to manage and develop strategic wholesale channel partner relationships, execute structured account plans and deliver against clearly defined commercial objectives. It is well suited to a commercially astute sales professional who values structure, accountability and long‑term partnership building.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
What We’re Looking For
• Ownership and management of a prescribed portfolio of wholesale channel partners
• Execution of the wholesale sales strategy within the assigned region
• Delivery against sales, margin and vitality targets
• Implementation of agreed account plans and contact strategies
• Development of a robust forward sales pipeline through OTC and specification initiatives
• Driving installer engagement through regular trade events delivered via channel partners
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and timely completion of call reports
• Responding effectively to partner and business requirements within a dynamic environment
This is a field‑based role with a strong emphasis on partner engagement at branch and showroom level.
Candidate profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Proven experience in business development or regional field sales
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to influence, negotiate and challenge constructively
• A structured, data‑driven approach to account and pipeline management
• Experience using CRM systems to manage activity and performance
• The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region
