Our current charity is Mind, voted for by the employees who works at Bristan Group. Mind were selected to be our charity partner for two years starting in 2023 until the end of 2024. Our Charity Committee manages all of our charity activity and fundraising which can be anything from raffles, bake sales, BBQ’s and in 2023 some of our brave team members even took part in the Wolf Run!

Over the years, the Bristan Group has raised money for various charities and since 2018, we have supported NSPCC, St Giles, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Mind. Overall we have raised £55k for these charities, including £10k during the two years of Covid lockdowns and restrictions where the Charity Committee adapted to be able to still raise money despite the challenges the pandemic brought.

As a business, we are also keen to support our employees with any charity fundraising activities they do outside of work. Our colleagues come from across the UK, which means we are able to support wonderful charities all over the country. Our colleauges at the Masco Corporation kindly Money Match any money raised for the charity.  So for every £1 our employees raise, Masco will also donate £1 to that charity.

Recently, there was a relaunch of our ‘Community Chest’ nomination scheme. This is another way for us to be able to give back to local communities. Our colleagues vote for a local community charity, close to their hearts, who are in need of some extra funding. This could be a local football team, a food bank, a flood appeal or anything else close to their hearts. Once a quarter, a winner is selected and will be the recipient of £500.
